It is a beautiful July morning. My pilot for this flight is Stefano, an extreme sports enthusiast who wants to become a free fall bat man.
The walk from the top of the lift to the launch area is about half a kilometer.
Stefano pats the head of one of the resident cows.
A 360 degree look at the top of Baldy Mountain.
This the east side of the mountain where I launched from last September. Today, because the wind is more from the west we will launch west, off the left in this photo.
The launch site.
Stefano assembles the glider.
With a little burst of breeze we run and launch.
Wheee.
The south end of the lake. Malcesine is the town with the red roofs.
The north end.
Circling back to the south for our landing. The landing site is the green grassy rectangular land.
Dropping to the landing exposes the many sun bathers. A perfect site to perfect one's suntan in spite of the posted "no sun bathing on the landing zone"signs. See the topless woman...?
Another exciting flight completed. Promises to myself to return again soon!
